I was backing out of a parking spot and the power assist failure, light came on. It had happen before but would correct itself it the car was restarted. I had attempted to take it to a mechanic but since it wouud not happen while there they could not diagnose the problem. I am not looking forward to this costly repair. Fzord please do something.

Started my car on saturday morning at 9am, put it into reverse to back out of my spot, when the "power steering assist fault" and "service advance-trac" errors showed on the display. I promptly shut the vehicle down and waited one minute and restarted it, the errors were still present. I am contacting the local dealership. Thankfully this did not happen while driving on the interstate.

Went to town and parked the car went in to the store and when i started to leave i noticed that the power steering didn't work. I drove the car home with no power steering. It's a good thing this didn't happen while going the speed limit. The dealer said that this is a common problem my question is why has it not been recalled if it's a common problem.

Driving down the highway came up to a slight bend and when i went to turn the wheel i noticed that it was hard to turn. Thinking it was tire going flat i went to get off the highway when i went to get off on the exit the steering was almost impossible to turn had to slam on the breaks to avoid driving off the exit ramp.
