I was driving at 25mph and the car started revving on its own. I had to slam on the brakes. This happened twice so far. City street. Straight. Both times.

While driving on a highway the wrench light illuminated and i experienced an unexpected, sudden loss of engine power and acceleration. The vehicle rapidly decreased in speed from highway speeds to barely being able to maintain speeds of 20mph. Idler pulley bolt has broken twice in the 2 years i've had this vehicle. Each of the bolts snapped and got stuck in the engine block. When the bolt breaks it results in a loss of power steering, the engine starts to overheat, and other issues occur due to the serpentine belt coming off track. Each time this has happened to me on a very busy highway and almost caused a collision.

Driving at 70 mph on the interstate, car suddenly shudders, wrench light comes on. I immediately pulled onto the nearest exit ramp and drove at reduced speed until able to stop. Shut off car, then turned ignition key to check diagnostics. All good? Started car, drove maybe 50 ft when wrench and emissions lights came on and car went into 'limp' mode. Got off of ramp and shut off car for 5 min. Restarted car,…

After replacing coil problem still existed, so i researched online and found a great number of other fusion owners who have had this same problem.
