My issue is what many people have already complained about - the shifting is extremely rough, to the point it's now undrivable and unsafe. The 'wrench' light and check engine light have just come on, although the slipping of gears has gone on for quite a while. This seems to be a very common issue. Most people can't afford to spend $3-4k to get the transmission rebuilt.

I found if i push the unit back in the hole and hold a downward pressure on the knob it will operate.
