Air bag sensor came on and will not go off. It isn't working properly. The airbag sensor light comes on and stays on, regardless if there is a person in the seat or not. Passenger air bag seems to be showing off all the time. I'm concerned that they aren't working properly.

I have just recently purchased my 2016 ford fusion awd vehicle and the check engine light has come on. I had a professional scanner run the code and it has to do with faulty emission sensors near the gas tank, which i have heard are common for these vehicles.
