Door latch on back driver's side door is broken after no accident or damage to the vehicle. Simply opened door and when i went to shut it it would no longer latch. It does not stay shut. Vehicle was stationary.

My wife was driving our 2015 ford fusion when the driver's door came open and would not close. I have seen this problem on other ford fusions which were recalled. We called the dealer and was told our vin is not included in the recall.?? It is having the same problem as the recalled vehicles. Very unsafe!!!!!!!!!!!!!
