Has there been any complaints on the door handles breaking? I just had to have the drivers replaced. It broke would not open from the inside and would not lock. The back seat handles are about to break. Need some feedback on this. It is not cheap to fix the handles.

2006 ford fusion driver side (front left) door handle is plastic and breaks off at the gear ratchet cog leaving the driver unable to open door except from outside the auto. Poor material and design of the handle is a trouble spot that many fusion owners are experiencing. This should be a major item to have a recall in effect. Wrench light appeared on dash and while driving the car on the city streets the car has a sluggish start and then a bit of a burst and then light power as i accelerate. Also i have had to change door handles and locks 3 times since i have purchase. The handles just snap off. The car will unlock but i have to manually lock most locks and open the car by putting down the window.
