The passenger side door latch failed, causing the door to open while driving on a residential street. This happened only 3 months after the driver's side door latch also failed. My 2014 ford fusion is not currently included in the already existing recall of the faulty door latches. Ford will not reimburse or cover the expenses to have either door latch fixed. This is a serious safety issue for me, my wife, and…

Upon regular closing of rear passenger door, it will not latch, therefore can not be shut. The car cannot be driven in this condition, as the door will necessarily be open at all times.

I have called two local dealers multiple times dating back to april (when i purchased the car) to have the recall fixes performed, and continue to be told the parts are on back order from the manufacturer. I have also contacted the manufacturer (ford) online and was told i needed to schedule the appointment with a local dealer.
